Joaquín Amenábar regularly tours giving solo concerts with a varied repertoire of classical, contemporary and tango music. He has played bandoneón concerts in San Francisco, Chicago, Istanbul, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, England and other countries in Europe.
- Joaquín played in the 250 Anniversary Homage to J.S.Bach concert in Ravinia Festival, Chicago, USA, in June 2000. In October 2002 he played the premier of the Bandoneón and Organ piece “Elegía Porteña” by Rodolfo Daluisio in Kreffeld V Bandoneón Festival, Germany.
- Director and first Bandoneón of the “Orquesta Típica de la Guardia Vieja” with a traditional tango repertoir.
